Hannah Paradis

I grew up on Bainbridge Island in Washington, and have been an equestrian since my first pony ride at seven years old. I left the Equestrian Studies program at the University of Findlay to take a position catch-riding and studying under Grand Prix rider David Wright at Hunter’s Court Stable, Tennessee.
I ran the public lesson program at Windy Oaks Stable in Georgia and have years of experience turning out show horses on the east coast circuits. I ran the public lesson program at Chastain Horse Park in Atlanta, Georgia, where I managed 35+ lesson horses and eight trainers. I’ve recently moved to Huntington, Vermont where I am finally able to own a couple prospects of my own in a small barn at my house.
I believe in a natural horsemanship foundation, and a balanced and empathetic approach. I teach riders of all skill levels and ages how to connect with their equine partners–whether they ride for pleasure or ribbons. I specialize in the classic forward American seat, specifically Hunter/Jumpers/Equitation. Students can expect careful, detailed instruction to help them achieve their riding goals. I am enthusiastic, knowledgeable and just plain love the horses.
I am in the final stages of the certification process, and expect to be one of just a handful of USHJA certified trainers in Vermont by fall 2025. Let’s go riding!
